Tender Description
The National Highway Authority (NHA) invites experienced and eligible contractors for the construction of the New Rehmania Bridge located at KM 1382+000 to 1383+000 (SBC) on the N-5 highway. This tender is issued by the National Highway Authority Central Zone office in Lahore, Punjab. The project involves significant civil works for bridge construction, requiring specialized skills and adherence to PEC category C-2 and above with specialization codes CE-01, CE-02, and CE-10.
Items being procured:
- Construction of New Rehmania Bridge at KM 1382+000 to 1383+000 (SBC) on N-5
The scope of work includes all necessary construction activities for the new bridge, including site preparation, structural works, and associated civil engineering tasks. The project demands compliance with technical specifications and quality standards set by NHA. Contractors must be registered with the Income Tax Department, be on the Active Taxpayers List of the Federal Board of Revenue, and hold a valid PEC license for the financial year 2025-26.
Bidding documents detailing procurement methods, terms, and conditions will be available for free download from August 1, 2026, on the official NHA e-bidding website. The submission deadline for e-bids is August 13, 2026, by 11:00 hours, with technical bids opening the same day at 11:30 hours. Manual bids will no longer be accepted, so bidders must ensure EPADS (PPRA) registration for electronic submission.
A practical tip for bidders is to carefully review the PEC category and specialization codes required and ensure all tax and registration documents are up to date before submission. Early registration on the e-procurement platform will help avoid last-minute technical issues. This tender offers a substantial opportunity for qualified contractors to contribute to a key infrastructure project on the national highway network.
