Tender Description
The Punjab Highways Department invites tenders for the widening and improvement of the road from Gujranwala Bypass (Awan Chowk) to M-2 Khanqah Dogran Interchange via Anjianwala Link Nowshera Virkan including Bypass L, covering a total length of 66.00 Km in District Gujranwala. The project includes a Phase-I section of 15.50 Km. This tender is open to engineering firms and contractors registered with the Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC) in the relevant category and codes, holding a valid PEC license for the financial year 2026-27. Bidders must also be registered on the Punjab PPRA website (www.ep.punjab.gov.pk) and submit their bids digitally through the Punjab e-Procurement System only. Manual bids or banking instruments will not be accepted.
Items being procured:
- Widening and improvement of road from Gujranwala Bypass (Awan Chowk) to M-2 Khanqah Dogran Interchange via Anjianwala Link Nowshera Virkan including Bypass L (66.00 Km) District Gujranwala (Phase-I L = 15.50 Km)
The technical scope involves a 12-month completion period as per TS No. CE No.1544/2025-26/GWL/4694/Plg dated 11.09.2026. Bidders are required to submit a bid security equal to 5% of the estimated cost via digital online payment through the Punjab e-Procurement System in favor of the Executive Engineer Road Construction Division Gujranwala by or before 05.10.2026 at 01:00 PM. Performance Guarantee of 10% of the contract amount must be submitted within 15 days of receipt of the offer letter in the form of CDR, Bank Draft, Cashier Cheque, Pay Order, or Bank Guarantee valid for 3 months beyond the completion time.
Authorized representatives of contractors may attend the bid opening on 05.10.2026 at 01:30 PM at the office of the Superintending Engineer, Highways Circle Gujranwala. The procuring agency reserves the right to reject any or all bids as per Clause-35 of PPRA Rules 2014. Claims and payments will be processed electronically through the Digital Measurement Book.
