Tender Description
This tender invites bids for the construction and rehabilitation of key roads in District Barkhan, Balochistan, under the BSDP Phase-II Project. The Public Health Engineering Department (PHED), District Barkhan, seeks experienced contractors to undertake the construction of BT roads connecting Bahar Khan Jhang to Shara Balochani, Bakar road to Noor Khan Kalkani, and Dada Shah Mahmood Road to Basti Noor Khan Shamani. These projects involve substantial civil works requiring quality materials and skilled workmanship to ensure durability and safety in the region's challenging terrain.
The scope includes earthworks, pavement laying, and road rehabilitation, demanding adherence to engineering standards suitable for Balochistan's climate and topography. Contractors must be registered with the Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC) under categories C-6 & 5 or above, valid for the 2025-26 financial year, and must be on the Active Taxpayer List (ATL) of the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR). Firms should also be registered with the Balochistan Revenue Authority and have completed at least two similar assignments. Bid security in the form of a Call Deposit Receipt (CDR) is mandatory, reflecting 2% and 3% of the estimated costs as specified.
Submission of bids must be in sealed envelopes delivered by hand or registered mail to the Executive Engineer (Roads) CW, PP&H Department District Barkhan. The deadline is set for 20th February 2026 at 10:00 AM, with bid opening at 11:00 AM the same day.
