Tender Description
This tender issued by the Program Coordinator Accelerated Action Plan (Agriculture Sector) for Reduction of Stunting and Malnutrition in Sindh, Karachi, invites qualified bidders to establish and operate Demonstration on Site Plots for Small Growers in four districts of Sindh: Dadu, Badin, Sukkur, and Shaheed Benazirabad. - Establishment of 280 one-acre demonstration plots (70 per district)
- Land preparation including disk plough, disk harrow, leveling, and bed preparation
- Supply of seasonal high-yielding vegetable seeds (Spinach, Cabbage, Cauliflower, Onion, Mustard, Turnip, Tomato, Chilies, Lady's Fingers, Egg Plant, Sponge Gourd, Bitter Gourd)
- Fertilizers and pesticides with safe-use guidance
- Provision of 20-litre spray pumps with battery and manual handle
- Farmer agricultural tool kits including hand shovel, hoe, sickle, and hand hoe
- Irrigation support including diesel and maintenance for water lifting pumps
- Farmer labor charges for 90 days
- Conducting 12 participatory training sessions with training materials in Sindhi
- Organizing field days and community learning events
- Documentation and reporting including photographs, attendance sheets, and progress reports
The technical scope covers all aspects of demonstration plot establishment, crop management, training, monitoring, and reporting. The successful bidder will provide all human resources, inputs, logistics, and technical supervision required to complete the assignment within 90 days or the approved crop cycle. The project emphasizes safe pesticide use, integrated pest management, water efficiency, and gender-sensitive community participation.
Eligibility criteria include NTN and GST certificates, active tax payer status, affidavit of no blacklisting or litigation, minimum five years' relevant experience with at least five work orders per year, submission of 5% bid security, minimum turnover matching tender cost, and submission of income tax returns and audit reports for the last three years.
