Tender Description
NED University of Engineering & Technology Karachi invites bids for the Design, Supply, Installation, Testing and Commissioning of a 300KW Solar Power Solution for the Chemical and Petroleum Engineering Department at its Main Campus. This tender is issued by the Procurement Cell of NED University located in Karachi, Sindh.

The scope includes complete turnkey work involving design, supply, installation, testing and commissioning of a 300KW solar power system. The project emphasizes quality and quantity control ethics and requires compliance with technical specifications and drawings provided by the university. The site is the Chemical and Petroleum Engineering Department at NED University, Karachi.
Eligible bidders must be registered with Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC) in category C-4 or above with specialized codes related to electrical and mechanical works including solar installation. Firms must be registered with SECP, GST, and Sindh Revenue Board (SRB) and hold a valid electrical inspector license from Government of Sindh. The average turnover for the last three years should not be less than Rs 100 million per year. Bidders must have completed at least two similar works costing Rs 50 million or more in the last three years. An affidavit on non-judicial stamp paper declaring no litigation, blacklisting or corrupt practices is mandatory. Warranty of 20 years for solar panels and 5 years for inverters is required.
Bids must be submitted electronically through EPADS only. Manual bids will not be accepted. Original bid security in the form of pay order or bank draft must reach the Deputy Director Procurement office before the closing date. The bid security is 2% of the bid price. The contract is fixed price with no escalation and completion time is 3 months from commencement. Performance security of 5% of contract price is required. The bid validity period is 90 days.
The closing date for submission is **7 days after publish date** at 23:59:59. Bidders are advised to verify their bid submission status on EPADS to avoid disqualification. The bid opening will be held at the office of Deputy Director Procurement, NED University, Karachi.
