Tender Description
The Buner Irrigation Division in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa is procuring dredging and desilting services for several critical urban waterways across Buner district. This procurement covers multiple sites including Jowar Khwar, Wach/Torwarsak Khwar, Balokhan Bridge area, Qadar Nagar, Panay Khwar, Daggar Khwar, Chato/Beshonai Khwar, Gokand Khwar, Mandanr Khwar, Khadukhel Khwar, Rega Khwar, and Barandu River. The estimated costs for these works range from **PKR 8.01 million** to **PKR 262.69 million** depending on the site and scope.
The technical scope involves removal of flood debris, clearing obstructions, and desilting to restore water flow and prevent urban flooding. The works require specialized dredging equipment and experienced contractors familiar with river and flood management in the region. Contractors must be registered with the Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC) for Financial Year 2025-26 in relevant categories such as C4, C5, and C6 with specific specialization codes. Active registration with Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Revenue Authority (KPRA) and Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) with NTN is mandatory.
Bids must be submitted electronically via the EPADS portal before the closing deadline of **11 May 2026 at 12:00 noon**. The bid opening will occur the same day at 1:30 PM. Earnest Money or Bid Security of 2% of the estimated cost is required in the form of a scanned Call Deposit Receipt (CDR) from scheduled banks. The bid package must include signed BOQ, CNIC, PEC license, enlistment certificates, KPRA and FBR status, and rate analysis if applicable.
A practical tip for bidders is to ensure all required documents are scanned clearly and uploaded correctly on EPADS before the deadline. Failure to submit any required document or submission of illegible files will render the bid non-responsive. Also, original CDRs must be submitted in sealed envelopes before closing time to avoid disqualification. This tender offers a significant opportunity for contractors with PEC credentials and experience in flood debris removal and waterway maintenance in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
