Tender Description
The Abandoned Properties Organization, Cabinet Division, Government of Pakistan, Karachi, invites Expressions of Interest (EOI) for the engagement of a Legal Advisor on a contractual basis with a monthly retainership. This engagement is initially for one year, extendable subject to satisfactory performance.
Items being procured:
- Legal Advisor (01 post)
The Legal Advisor must hold a Masters in Law with 7 years of experience/practice in the High Court or Supreme Court of Pakistan, including civil trials and appeals. Preference will be given to candidates with experience representing public sector organizations and regulatory authorities or autonomous bodies.
Responsibilities include providing sound, timely, and legally sustainable advice on matters referred by the organization, representing the organization in courts and other judicial/quasi-judicial authorities, preparing and conducting cases, appeals, revisions, constitutional petitions, and applications, monitoring case progress to ensure deadlines are met, taking timely steps for filing appeals and petitions, and ensuring effective follow-up until final disposal.
Applicants must submit complete applications with attested copies of academic records, degrees, and experience certificates within 15 days of advertisement publication. Soft copies may also be sent via email. Only shortlisted candidates will be called for interview. The organization reserves the right to reject any or all candidates without assigning any reason.
