Tender Description

The Livestock and Dairy Development Department, Punjab, is inviting applications from eligible private livestock farm owners for the establishment of 07 Foot-and-Mouth Disease (FMD) free compartments in Punjab during the financial year 2026-27 under the ADP Scheme titled CM Punjab: Progressive Control of Foot and Mouth Disease (FMD) in Punjab. This initiative aims to enhance disease control and livestock health across the province, specifically targeting farms that meet strict bio-security and infrastructure criteria. The technical scope includes establishing fenced compartments with bio-security measures such as a gated boundary wall, a quarantine unit for new or sick animals located at least 500 meters away from main sheds, and proper animal housing with adequately ventilated sheds. The government will support the project until June 2028 by providing free FMD vaccination for all susceptible animals and tagging large animals within a 3 km buffer zone around the compartments. Eligible applicants must have a minimum herd size of 300 large animals (cattle/buffalo) and demonstrate ownership or lease of land with documented proof of farm infrastructure. Applications must include a valid CNIC, certified copies of land ownership or lease records, and evidence of the quarantine unit, boundary wall, and herd size. The department requires submission of a business plan covering meat and milk processing, value addition, and export of livestock products. The final compartment notification will follow a comprehensive survey and evaluation under the Punjab Animal Health Act, 2019. Applications must be submitted to the office of Director General (Extension) L&DD Punjab, located at 16-Cooper Road, Lahore, by **20th July 2026**. Interested bidders should download the complete EOI documents from the department website or obtain them directly from the office. A practical tip for bidders is to ensure all documentation is complete and accurate, especially proof of infrastructure and herd size, to avoid rejection at the technical evaluation stage. Early submission is advised to allow time for any clarifications from the department. This tender offers a significant opportunity for livestock farm owners in Punjab to participate in a government-supported disease control program, contributing to improved animal health and economic benefits.
