Tender Description
The State Life Insurance Corporation of Pakistan invites qualified contractors to submit electronic bids through the E-Pak Acquisition and Disposal System (EPADS) for the comprehensive Fire Alarm and Fire Suppression System at Statelife Building No.11, Karachi. This tender covers the supply, installation, testing, and commissioning of a complete fire protection system including fire pumps, piping, valves, sprinklers, fire alarm control panels, detectors, hose reels, hydrants, extinguishers, and all related civil and mechanical works. Items being procured:
- Fire Pump Set including electric motor driven, diesel engine driven fire pump and jockey pump with controllers
- OS & Y Gate Valves of various sizes
- Check Valves
- Strainers with ball valves and associated materials
- Flexible Connectors
- Doyma Sleeves
- Portable Fire Extinguishers (Dry Powder, CO2, Wet Chemical types)
- High Density Polyethylene (HDPE) pipes for buried applications
- Black Steel Schedule 40 piping in various diameters
- Fire Brigade Connections
- Fire Hose Reels and Hydrant Valves
- Fire Protection System Acceptance Test
- Painting, Coating and Stenciling of piping and valves
- Alarm Check Valve Assembly
- Zone Control Valve Assembly
- Fire Sprinklers (Pendent Ceiling Concealed, Upright Quick Response)
- Civil and Allied Works including demolition, pipe penetration and repair, false ceiling restoration, fire pump room modification, pump foundations, and miscellaneous civil works
- Fire Alarm System including intelligent microprocessor controlled addressable fire alarm control panel, repeater panels, wiring, detectors (smoke, heat, multi-detectors), electronic sounders, manual call points, input/output devices, UPS distribution board, and commissioning
The technical scope includes all materials and workmanship to meet NFPA standards and local regulations, with detailed specifications for equipment, installation, testing, and commissioning. Eligibility requires PEC registration in category C-4 or above with relevant codes, active FBR/SRB registration, experience in similar projects, and submission of bid security of PKR 1,800,000. Bidders must submit bids electronically on EPADS by 14th October 2026 before 11:00 AM. The bid security must be submitted in hard copy to the Chief Engineer's office before the deadline. The tender will be opened on the same day at 11:30 AM in the presence of the procurement committee and bidders' representatives. The contract includes a 12-month completion period and a 12-month defect liability period. The system includes integration of fire alarm with firefighting systems for automatic activation and monitoring.
