Tender Description
This tender invites bids for extensive flood protection and irrigation channel improvement works in Charsadda District, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. The Pakistan Water and Power Development Authority (WAPDA), Charsadda Irrigation Division, seeks qualified contractors to undertake multiple projects including construction of flood protection walls, improvement of irrigation channels, revamping of drains, and provision of crossing facilities across various sites such as Behram Dheri, Jindi River, and others within the district.
The scope covers civil works like construction and restoration of flood protection walls, side walls, culverts, and clearance of drainage systems. The projects also include solar-based irrigation tube wells installation in selected areas. These works require expertise in hydraulic engineering and flood management, with attention to local river systems like Swat River and Jindi River. The sites present challenges such as managing water flow during construction and ensuring durability against seasonal floods.
Contractors must comply with Category C-5 and above PEC codes, with specific codes CE-01, CE-02, CE-04, CE-09, and CE-10 applicable depending on the sub-project. Firms should be registered with FBR and have an Active Taxpayer List (ATL) status for the fiscal year 2025-26. Earnest Money in the form of Call Deposit Receipt (CDR) is required as per the tender specifications.
The submission deadline is set for the end of October 2023, with bids to be submitted in sealed envelopes at the office of the Executive Engineer, Charsadda Irrigation Division, Mardan Road, Charsadda. Technical and financial bids will be opened on the same day as per the single stage one envelope procedure.
