Tender Description
The Pakistan Mineral Development Corporation (PMDC) invites qualified consulting firms to submit proposals for a Ground Based Gravity Survey involving acquisition, processing, and interpretation for the exploration of chromite deposits in Block-D, Sakhakot and Block-B, Kochian, Malakand. This consultancy service aims to support mineral exploration efforts in these geologically prospective blocks under 30-year mining leases. Items being procured:
- Ground based gravity survey data acquisition
- Data processing and corrections
- Interpretation of gravity anomalies
- 2D and 3D subsurface modeling
- Delineation of priority drilling targets with coordinates and drilling parameters
The scope includes systematic planning, execution, and reporting of the gravity survey over the designated target zones. The study area lies within the Dargai–Harichand Ultramafic Complex, known for chromite and associated metals such as nickel, cobalt, PGEs, and gold. The consultant will provide detailed technical reports including maps, models, and recommendations for drilling targets. The project requires compliance with international mineral exploration standards such as NI 43-101 or JORC.
Eligibility criteria include proven experience in geophysical surveys for mineral exploration, availability of suitable equipment (gravity meters, GPS/GNSS, processing software), and qualified technical personnel. Applicants must be registered taxpayers and not blacklisted. The submission deadline is Thursday, November 5, 2026 at 11:00 AM via the EPADS v2.0 portal. Technical bids will be opened the same day at 11:30 AM. Manual submissions are not accepted.
Bidders are advised to carefully review the prequalification documents available on EPADS and ensure all eligibility and qualification requirements are met. Earnest Money or Bid Security requirements are as per the tender documents. This is a valuable opportunity for firms specializing in geophysical consultancy to contribute to a significant chromite exploration project in Malakand. Timely and compliant submission through EPADS is critical to avoid disqualification.
