Request for Expressions of Interest for International Panel of Experts for Pakistan Meteorological Department

The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) invites Expressions of Interest (EOIs) for the selection of four individual consultants to form an International Panel of Experts (IPEs) under the World Bank-financed Integrated Flood Resilience and Adaptation Project (IFRAP). This panel will support the modernization of hydromet services and strengthen hydromet and climate services across Pakistan. The positions available are System Integrator Expert (Team Leader), Numerical Weather Prediction (NWP) and Forecasting Expert, ICT / Software & Data Integration Expert, and HPC (High-Performance Computing Infrastructure) Expert. Items being procured: - System Integrator Expert (Team Leader) - Numerical Weather Prediction (NWP) and Forecasting Expert - ICT / Software & Data Integration Expert - HPC (High-Performance Computing Infrastructure) Expert The scope involves providing expert consultancy services to enhance Pakistan's hydrometeorological capabilities, focusing on system integration, weather prediction, software and data integration, and high-performance computing infrastructure. The consultants will work closely with the Project Implementation Unit (PIU) at PMD, located at the Seismic Observatory, Saidpur Village, Islamabad. Eligible consultants should have relevant international experience and expertise in their respective fields. EOIs must be submitted via email to the addresses provided. The deadline for submission has been extended to 2nd November 2026 at 1600 hours Pakistan Standard Time. Interested parties should review the detailed Terms of Reference available at the PMD website.
