Group Health Insurance/Takaful Services for Pakistan Institute of Development Economics Employees

The Pakistan Institute of Development Economics (PIDE), located in Islamabad Capital Territory, is procuring Group Health Insurance/Takaful services for its employees for the financial year 2025-26. This procurement covers comprehensive health insurance benefits including In-Patient Department (IPD) coverage with and without parents, Family-wise coverage proposals, and Out-Patient Department (OPD) coverage with an annual limit of Rs.100,000 per family. The scope includes hospitalization and day care treatment covering medical expenses up to specified limits based on employee grade, including pre and post hospitalization for 30 days. Benefits extend to surgical operations, ICU charges, physician and specialist consultations, daycare surgeries, maternity benefits, emergency outpatient and dental treatments, ambulance services within the same city, and specialized investigations such as MRI, CT scans, and other diagnostic procedures. Coverage also includes treatment for congenital birth defects, hepatitis, COVID-19, cancer therapies, and maternity care including newborn coverage from day one. Eligible bidders must be registered with FBR/SECP as applicable, possess relevant experience in health insurance or takaful services with a minimum of five years in business, and demonstrate financial capacity and a credible portfolio. The procurement follows a Single Stage-Two Envelope procedure with Least Cost Based Selection (LCBS) technique. Bidders must submit their technical and financial bids online via EPADS v2.0 by the deadline of Monday, May 18, 2026, at 11:00 AM. Manual submissions are not accepted.
