Tender Description
Airport Hotel Skyrooms (Private) Limited, Karachi, is procuring Group Life Insurance Coverage for its employees for the financial year 2026-2027. This procurement is managed by the Purchase Department of Airport Hotel Skyrooms Karachi. The insurance coverage includes natural death, accidental death, retirement medical coverage, and personal accidental death benefits for approximately 206 employees. The policy period is from 1st July 2026 to 30th June 2027. The scope covers comprehensive group life insurance with specified maximum coverage limits per employee, including monthly gross salaries multiplied by 36 months for accidental death benefits and fixed amounts for natural death and medical coverage. The bidder must be a registered insurance company or takaful operator with SECP, FBR, and provincial tax authorities, and an active member of the Insurance Association of Pakistan. A minimum credit rating of A++ for conventional insurers or A for takaful operators is mandatory. No pending litigation with Airport Hotel Skyrooms is allowed. The tender follows a Single Stage Two Envelope Basis with separate sealed technical and financial proposals. Earnest Money of Rs 500,000 in the form of a pay order is required with the technical proposal, along with a non-refundable tender fee of Rs 15,000. Bids must be submitted electronically via EPADS and a hard copy with original earnest money and tender fee to the Manager Purchase office by 15-June-2026 at 11:00 am. Late submissions will be rejected. The technical evaluation includes experience, financial strength, and sector-specific expertise, with qualifying marks set at 35 out of 50. Financial bids of technically qualified bidders will be opened later. A practical tip for bidders is to ensure strict compliance with the tender submission instructions, especially the two-envelope system and proper labeling of envelopes with tender reference number and item description to avoid disqualification. Also, bidders should prepare all mandatory documents including company profile, tax certificates, and no litigation undertakings to ensure eligibility. The earnest money must be in the prescribed form and properly endorsed to avoid rejection. This tender offers a significant opportunity for insurance providers specializing in group life coverage within the hospitality sector in Karachi. The department emphasizes adherence to PPRA rules and reserves the right to accept or reject any bid without assigning reasons.
