Tender Description
Karachi Shipyard & Engineering Works Limited (KS&EW) invites proposals and sealed quotations from well reputed sub-contractors and firms experienced in marine diesel generator supply on rent. The requirement is for hiring services of a diesel generator with a capacity of 400 KVA, 60 Hz frequency, and 440 Volt, 3-phase, along with an operator and helper on a rental basis for 3000 hours. This generator will provide electric power to various office systems at the shore of the ship under construction. The scope includes transportation of the generator from the sub-contractor's premises to KS&EW and back.

- Rental for 3000 hours
The technical scope requires the generator to meet the specified power rating and voltage to ensure reliable power supply during the ship construction phase. Bidders must submit their offers in a single package envelope containing two separate sealed envelopes: one for the Technical Proposal including a Pre-Qualification Form signed and stamped by the sub-contractor, and the other for the Commercial/Financial Proposal.
Tender documents are available from the office of Development & Sub-Contract (Ground Floor, Ship Planning Hall, Works Office Building) on any working day from 0900 to 1600 hours starting 21-09-2026 upon payment of a non-refundable fee of Rs.3000. The bid validity period is 90 days.
Technical proposals will be opened on 12-10-2026 at 1130 hours in the presence of bidders who wish to attend. Financial proposals of technically qualified bidders will be opened later on a date to be intimated by KS&EW.
Bidders are advised to carefully prepare their technical proposals to meet all requirements and ensure timely submission before the deadline of 1100 hours on 12-10-2026. Early collection of tender documents and site familiarity will enhance bid quality and compliance.
