Tender Description
Pakistan State Oil Company Limited (PSO) is procuring services for the implementation of QR codes on LPG cylinders at its Blue LPG warehouse located in Gilgit. This procurement is part of PSO's Project Blue LPG, which aims to establish an integrated supply chain network for LPG distribution using technology-assisted solutions. The project focuses on enhancing inventory management, logistics, and product tracking through QR code scanning technology.
The scope includes providing approximately 2,000 aluminum plates with QR stickers plus 10% safety stock, testing the durability of these plates, and obtaining approval from PSO's team. The vendor must conduct a comprehensive serial number audit by cross-verifying cylinder serial numbers issued by PSO with actual cylinders at the Gilgit warehouse. A detailed audit report categorizing correct, mismatched, and duplicate codes must be submitted. The vendor is responsible for end-to-end implementation including fabrication, affixing, laminating QR codes, and testing a random sample before full-scale application.
All logistics, including transportation of materials and equipment to Gilgit, are the vendor's responsibility. Quality assurance after printing and application is mandatory. The vendor must verify unique cylinder codes before printing to avoid reprinting costs and penalties. A one-year guarantee is required to ensure QR plates remain intact and properly fixed, with replacements for any lost or damaged plates regardless of location.
Bidders should be registered with FBR and ATL, and possess relevant experience in similar technology implementation projects. Earnest Money and CDR requirements apply as per PSO's terms. The technical bid must be comprehensive and submitted by the closing date.
The submission deadline is **2026-07-06 23:59:59**. Offers should be submitted to the Pakistan State Oil Company Limited office in Karachi or as specified in the tender documents. A practical tip for bidders is to ensure thorough verification of cylinder serial numbers before printing QR codes to avoid costly reprints and penalties, which can impact project timelines and financials.
