Tender Description
The NED University of Engineering & Technology Karachi invites bids for the Import of Remaining Laboratory Equipment on C&F basis for the Centre for Advanced Studies in Renewable Energy (ASURE). This procurement is specific to supply, installation, putting into operation, and demonstration of the working of advanced laboratory equipment at the University premises in Karachi, Sindh. Items being procured include:
- PV Module Testing and Research Laboratory equipment: Weather Monitoring Station, Solmetric PVA-1500V3 PV Analyzer Kit, Fluke T5-1000 Electrical Tester, High-Voltage Insulation Resistance Tester.
- Battery Testing and Research Laboratory equipment: Portable/movable microprocessor-controlled battery cyclers with specified electrical ratings and operating modes.
- Substation Design, Consultancy and Testing Laboratory equipment: Megger OTS100AF Oil Breakdown Tester, Moisture In Oil Test Sets, Multifunction Transformer and Substation Test System, Circuit Breaker Analyzer and Timing Set.
The technical scope covers equipment suitable for meteorological, electrical, battery testing, and substation testing applications with detailed specifications provided for each item. The equipment must conform to international standards and be suitable for operation in Karachi's climatic conditions. Bidders must have at least 3 years of verifiable experience, valid FBR and GST registrations, and a minimum average annual turnover of Rs 50 million. Earnest Money of Rs 1.00 million in the form of Deposit at Call, Pay Order, Demand Draft, or Bank Guarantee is required. Performance Bond of 5% of contract price is also mandatory.
Bids must be submitted electronically through EPADS only; manual bids will not be considered. Original bid security and other required documents must be delivered in sealed envelopes to the Deputy Director Procurement, Procurement Cell, NED University before the submission deadline. Bidders are advised to carefully follow the bid submission instructions and ensure all documents are complete and signed.
The deadline for bid submission is **23rd September 2026**. Bidders should verify their bid status in the EPADS bid opening list to avoid disqualification. The procuring agency reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids as per SPPRA rules. One practical tip for bidders is to ensure the financial proposal is clearly placed in the EPADS system to avoid delays during bid opening.
