The Karachi Metropolitan Corporation (KMC) Engineering Department invites bids for the Improvement and Rehabilitation of Road from Ayoubia Masjid A-Block towards Madina Masjid Nawab Khan Colony UC-03 Baldia Town, District Keamari, Karachi. This tender is a comprehensive works contract aimed at upgrading the road infrastructure in the specified area to improve traffic flow and safety. Items being procured: - Excavation for pipeline in trenches and pits in soft rock - Providing fence guards, lights, flags, and temporary crossings - Laying RCC pipes of ASTM 76-70 class-II wall - Refilling excavated material in trenches with watering and ramming - Cartage of materials like aggregates, bricks, pipes, and steel bars - Constructing manholes and inspection chambers with cement plastering and fixing CI manhole covers - Full hire charges of pumping set for water removal from trenches - Manufacturing and supplying RCC ring slabs and manhole covers - Dismantling and removing road metalling - Earthwork excavation in ordinary soil - Preparing sub-base with well graded gravel - Laying aggregate base coarse compacted to required density - Laying 2" thick asphalt concrete with proper rolling and finishing - Providing and fixing cement paving blocks flooring - Providing and fixing precast edge blocks - Pavement marking with reflective thermo plastic paint - Painting masonry walls (kerb blocks) - Supplying and fixing reflectorized road studs (cat eyes) The technical scope includes excavation, pipe laying, road base preparation, asphalt paving, manhole construction, and road safety features installation. The work requires adherence to relevant standards and specifications, including ASTM and AASHTO, and must be completed within 90 days. Eligibility criteria include valid PEC registration in the relevant category, NTN and SRB active taxpayer status, submission of company profile, experience certificates, machinery list, and technical staff CVs. Bid security of 5% of the estimated cost in the form of pay order/CDR/bank guarantee is mandatory. Bidders must submit bids electronically via the SPPRA EPADS portal by 14-09-2026 at 11:00 AM. The bid evaluation will consider technical compliance, financial offer, and bidder qualifications. The contract includes performance security, integrity pact, and adherence to SPPRA rules.
