The Karachi Metropolitan Corporation (KMC) Engineering Department invites bids for the Improvement and Rehabilitation of road with sewerage lines and paver blocks at Union Committee Ali Akber Shah, District Malir, Karachi. This project involves comprehensive civil works including excavation, laying of sewerage pipelines, construction of manholes, and installation of paver blocks to enhance the infrastructure and sanitation facilities in the area. Items being procured: - Excavation for pipeline trenches and pits in soft rock - Provision of fence guards, lights, flags, and temporary crossings - Supply and installation of RCC pipes of 300 mm and 375 mm diameter - Pumping set hire charges for water removal from trenches - Construction of manholes with cement plaster and fixing of manhole covers - Manufacturing and supply of RCC ring slabs and manhole covers - Refilling excavated trenches with proper compaction - Preparation of sub-base with graded gravel - Earth excavation, dismantling of cement concrete, carriage of materials - Supply and laying of asphalt concrete paver - Providing and fixing precast edge blocks - Pavement marking with reflective thermo plastic paint - Supply and fixing of reflectorized road studs - Repair of leakages in RCC and MS pipelines under the roadway - Supply and fixing of cement paving blocks flooring The technical scope covers all civil and sanitary works as per the detailed Bill of Quantities and specifications provided by KMC. Bidders must be registered with the Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC) in the relevant category and possess valid NTN and Sindh Revenue Board (SRB) registration. Experience in similar government projects and submission of earnest money in the form of Pay Order or Bank Guarantee is mandatory. Bids must be submitted electronically via the SPPRA e-Procurement system (EPADS) by 11 August 2026 at 11:30 AM. The bid opening will be conducted online on the same day. The estimated cost of the project is Rs. 20 million with a bid security of 5% of the estimated cost. The contract duration is 90 days with a penalty of Rs. 3000 per day for delay.
