Tender Description
The Program Coordinator Accelerated Action Plan (Agriculture Sector) for Reduction of Stunting and Malnutrition in Sindh invites bids for the procurement and implementation of Kitchen Gardening with Kits for the financial year 2026-27. This tender is specifically for work in the districts of Dadu, Badin, Sukkur, and Shaheed Benazirabad in Sindh province. The project aims to support vulnerable rural women, including pregnant and lactating women, housewives, and food-insecure households, by enabling them to establish and maintain household kitchen gardens.
Items being procured:
- 400 Kitchen Gardening sites
- 10 Kits per site
Each Kitchen Gardening Kit includes seasonal vegetable seeds such as Okra (100 grams), Luffa/Sponge Gourd (50 grams), Bottle Gourd (50 grams), Bitter Gourd (50 grams), Cluster Bean (200 grams), Indian Squash (50 grams), Spinach (500 grams), Turnip (50 grams), and Eggplant (10 grams). Tools include a 10-liter water shower can with sprinkler rose, iron hoe with wooden handle (1.5 kg), hand hoe with wooden handle, and sickle with properly fixed handle.
The vendor is responsible for procurement, packing, labeling, transport, delivery, and distribution of kits, establishment of practical kitchen gardening plots at each site, and conducting field-based practical training sessions for 10 women beneficiaries per site in local languages. Training covers nutrition-sensitive kitchen gardening, seasonal crop selection, organic practices, pest management, seed saving, and home-based recipes.
Eligibility criteria include NTN, GST, and Sales certificates, active tax payer status with FBR and SRB, affidavit of no blacklisting or litigation, submission of 5% bid security, and relevant experience in kitchen gardening and training in the specified districts. Financial requirements include minimum average annual turnover, income tax returns, audit reports, and sufficient bank balance.
The bid submission deadline is **20-07-2026 10:00:00** at the office of the Program Coordinator, located at Plot No.D-101/2, Block No. 2, Scheme 5, Kehkashan, Clifton, Karachi, with electronic submission also accepted via EPADS. Bids will be opened on the same day at 10:30 am.
Technical bids must include detailed work plans, delivery schedules, and documentation. The Procuring Agency reserves the right to request detailed financial breakdowns.
A practical tip for bidders: Ensure all documentation, including experience certificates and tax compliance, is complete and verifiable to avoid disqualification during preliminary screening. Also, prepare for on-site inspections and maintain clear records of beneficiary training and kit distribution to facilitate smooth contract execution and payment processing.
