Tender Description
This tender invites bids for the installation of LED street lights in UC-11, Lyari Town, District South Karachi under the Karachi Metropolitan Corporation's Engineering Department. The project focuses on upgrading street lighting infrastructure to energy-efficient LED technology, enhancing public safety and reducing power consumption in a busy urban locality.
The scope includes providing and laying PVC insulated copper cables, fixing 100-watt LED street lights, butterfly moon lights with 40-watt LED lamps, and installing GI single arm double arch poles as per site requirements. The work will be executed at the specified locations in Karachi, demanding careful handling of electrical components and adherence to safety standards. The contractor must ensure quality workmanship and timely completion within the stipulated financial year 2025-26.
Bidders must hold a valid PEC registration in category C-6 (EE-06) or above, possess an active NTN and Sindh Revenue Board registration, and have an electrical contractor license from the Government of Sindh. A PEC-registered engineer must be part of the firm. Financial soundness is mandatory with a minimum annual turnover matching the estimated cost. Past experience with similar projects is required, supported by work orders and completion certificates. Compliance with FBR/ATL and PEC rules is essential for eligibility.
The submission deadline is set for 23rd February 2026 at 11:00 AM, with bid opening at 11:30 AM on the same day. Bids must be submitted online via the EPADS system and physically accompanied by pay orders for bid security and tender cost at the office of the Superintending Engineer (E&M), 512 J.M New M.A Jinnah Road, Karachi. Late submissions will be rejected.
