Tender Description
This tender invites qualified legal advisors to support the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) in Islamabad, focusing on consultancy services for legal and tax compliance. The Federal Board of Revenue requires experienced legal professionals to assist its Directorates of Law-IR and Law & Prosecution Customs in handling complex tax litigation and legal advisory tasks.
The scope includes assisting in legal drafting, research, and submissions before appellate forums, reviewing tax-related notices and orders, and supporting litigation and risk management. Advisors will work across regional offices, including Karachi, Lahore, Islamabad, Peshawar, and Quetta, ensuring consistent legal support. This role demands expertise in tax laws and customs, with a focus on high-value case management and strategic legal advice.
Applicants should hold an LLB from a recognized university with at least five years of post-qualification experience in High Courts, preferably in tax or customs law. Enrolled advocates eligible to appear before High Courts are preferred. Compliance with FBR’s requirements for 2025-26, including PEC category and FBR/ATL status, is essential for eligibility. Candidates must prepare earnest money in the form of a Call Deposit Receipt (CDR) as per tender instructions.
The submission deadline is set for 23:59:59 on the 4th of July, 2024. Technical and financial bids must be submitted in sealed envelopes to the Federal Board of Revenue office in Islamabad. The opening of bids will follow immediately after the closing time at the designated venue.
Pro-Tip: Ensure your submission includes all required documentation, especially the CDR and proof of FBR/ATL status, as these are commonly overlooked and can lead to disqualification. Double-check the tender notice for any specific stamp duty or procedural requirements to avoid last-minute issues.
