Tender Description
The Federal Government Polyclinic (Postgraduate Medical Institute) Islamabad is procuring drugs, medicines, and allied items on a local purchase basis for the remaining period of Financial Year 2025-26 and the next Financial Year 2026-27, with the contract extendable. This procurement covers daily demand supply for FGPC Islamabad and its attached dispensaries including the Parliament House Dispensary. The scope includes supply of medicines, surgical disposable items, and allied pharmaceutical products with strict adherence to DRAP rules and cold chain maintenance for thermo labile items. The contract requires suppliers to provide genuine, quality products with sealed packaging and valid manufacturing and expiry dates. Eligibility criteria include a minimum of three years relevant experience supplying to hospitals with at least 500 beds, valid Drug Sales License category-A, FBR/ATL registration, and submission of financial documents such as bank statements and audit reports for the last three financial years. Earnest Money in the form of CDR amounting to Rs. 3,500,000 is required with the bid, with an additional Rs. 2,000,000 payable upon award, totaling Rs. 5,500,000 as performance guarantee. Bids must be submitted online through EPADS of PPRA by 11:00 AM on 30-04-2026, with technical proposals opened first followed by financial proposals of technically qualified bidders. The department emphasizes strict compliance with tender terms including no handwritten bids, no changes in tender schedule or specifications, and submission of all documents duly signed and stamped. The contract will be awarded based on maximum discount offered on retail price. Suppliers are advised to carefully follow the technical evaluation checklist and ensure all mandatory documents are attached in sequence. A practical tip for bidders is to ensure their bids are complete, typed, and free from overwriting or erasures to avoid rejection at opening. The department reserves the right to cancel bids under PPRA rules and to impose penalties for non-compliance or supply of substandard products. This tender offers a significant opportunity for pharmaceutical suppliers with proven experience and capacity to meet daily demand in a major government healthcare facility in Islamabad.
