Tender Description
The Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto Institute of Trauma (SMBBIT), Karachi, is procuring drugs, medicines, and disposable items on a 24/7 emergency basis specifically for its Emergency Response Center in Sukkur. This procurement covers the financial years 2025-26, 2026-27, and 2027-28. The scope includes regular indenting and emergency supply of pharmaceutical products and disposables with strict timelines for delivery, including a maximum turnaround time of 2 hours for emergency supplies. The procurement requires bidders to be registered with EPADS SPPRA and have valid FBR/ATL registration along with relevant experience in supplying medicines on a 24/7 basis to medical institutions. Bidders must submit a non-refundable tender fee of PKR 5,000 and a bid security of PKR 500,000 in the form of a pay order. Performance security of PKR 1,000,000 will be required from successful bidders. The submission of bids is strictly electronic via EPADS SPPRA, and late submissions will not be accepted. All bid documents must be signed on every page, and samples of quoted items must be provided in commercial packaging at least two days before submission. The technical evaluation will be based on compliance with the bidding documents, valid licenses, financial soundness, and past performance certificates. Delivery must be made to SMBBIT Karachi and its satellite trauma centers in Sindh, with penalties for delays and non-compliance. Bidders are advised to carefully review the complete bidding documents, visit the site if necessary, and ensure all required documents and undertakings are submitted to avoid disqualification. A practical tip for bidders is to ensure the tender purchase receipt is uploaded on EPADS portal as failure to do so will result in outright rejection of the bid without consideration. This tender offers a significant opportunity for pharmaceutical suppliers with the capacity to provide timely and quality emergency medical supplies to a leading trauma institute in Sindh.
