Tender Description
This tender invites reputable insurance companies in Quetta to provide Marine Insurance Services for the Government of Balochistan Fisheries and Coastal Development Department. The procurement is conducted electronically through the Balochistan Public Procurement Regulatory Authority's EPPS portal, ensuring transparency and efficiency in the submission process.
The scope covers comprehensive marine insurance services tailored to the fisheries sector, addressing risks associated with marine operations in Balochistan. Interested firms must demonstrate proven experience in marine insurance, a credit rating of AA- or above, and compliance with regulatory requirements including SECP registration and valid sales tax registration. The financial capacity requirement is set at PKR 100 million, reflecting the scale and importance of the coverage.
Applicants should ensure they are included in the Active Taxpayers List (ATL) and are not blacklisted by any procuring agency in Pakistan. The tender aligns with the 2025-26 fiscal year compliance standards, emphasizing the need for firms to maintain up-to-date registrations and licenses under the Insurance Ordinance, 2000.
EOI submissions must be made electronically by the deadline of 25 January 2026 at 12:30 PM, with opening scheduled for 01:30 PM the same day via the EPPS system. Documents can be downloaded from www.bppra.gob.pk or obtained from the Fisheries Department office during working hours, located in Quetta.
Pro-Tip: Ensure your firm’s registration on the EPPS portal is active and complete well before the deadline. Missing the electronic submission window or failing to meet the minimum eligibility criteria, such as the required financial capacity or credit rating, will result in disqualification.
