Tender Description
The Multan Electric Power Company (MEPCO) invites sealed bids from eligible and qualified suppliers for the procurement of nuts and bolts as per the specifications and standards of WAPDA/PEPCO/NTDC. This procurement is planned for the financial year 2026-27 and will be conducted through the e-Pak Acquisition and Disposal System (EPADS) v2.0 platform. The procurement includes the supply of the following items:
- Nuts & Bolts 12X5/8'' (Quantity: 24,794 units)
- Nuts & Bolts 14X5/8'' (Quantity: 17,436 units)
- D.A Bolts 22'' (Quantity: 21,891 units)
All items must conform to the relevant specifications: DDS-10:85 (amended to date) for nuts and bolts 12X5/8'' and 14X5/8'', and PD-56-B-76 (amended to date) for D.A bolts 22''. The delivery location is MEPCO Regional Stores in Multan, Bahawalpur, Sahiwal, and D.G Khan. Delivery must be completed within 120 days or earlier as per the contract terms.
Bidders must be registered with FBR, have valid sales tax registration, and must not be blacklisted by WAPDA, DISCOs, GENCOs, or NTDC. Bid security in the form of Pay Order, Banker's Cheque, Call Deposit, or Bank Guarantee is mandatory. Performance security of 5% of the contract price will be required upon award. The bidding process follows the Least Cost Based Selection (LCBS) method under Single Stage One Envelope procedure.
Bids must be submitted online via EPADS v2.0 by Thursday, September 10, 2026, at 11:45 AM, with bid opening at 12:15 PM the same day. Manual submissions will not be accepted. Technical and financial bids must comply with all terms and conditions outlined in the bidding documents. The procuring agency reserves the right to increase or decrease quantities by up to 15% at the time of award.
Interested bidders should ensure timely registration on EPADS and carefully review all bidding documents, including eligibility criteria, technical specifications, and submission requirements. One practical tip for bidders is to submit the original bid security physically at the MEPCO Complex, Wapda Colony, Khanewal Road, Multan, before the bid submission deadline to avoid disqualification.
This procurement offers a valuable opportunity for suppliers to engage with a major power distribution company in Punjab, ensuring compliance with all regulatory and technical standards is essential for success.
