Provision of Patient's Meal & Canteen Services at Dow University of Health Sciences Karachi

Dow University of Health Sciences (DUHS), Karachi, invites bids for the provision of Patient's Meal and Canteen Services at multiple locations including Dow University Hospital (DUH) Ojha Campus, Institute of Biological, Biochemical & Pharmaceutical Science (IBBPS) Ojha Campus, and Dow International Dental College Hospital (DIDCH) Jauhar. The contract aims to engage a qualified service provider to deliver hygienic, nutritious, and medically prescribed meals to indoor patients three times daily, and operate the canteen/cafeteria for students and staff at subsidized rates approved by DUHS. Items being procured: - Patient's Meal Services including Regular Diet, Soft Diet, High Fiber/Vegetarian Diet, PEADS Diet, Clear Liquid Diet, Full Fluid Diet, Customized Diet for Research Work, Economy Meal - Operation and maintenance of Canteen/Cafeteria facilities - Provision of kitchen and canteen premises on rental basis - Supply of food-grade crockery, cutlery, and food service equipment - Pest and rodent control services - Fire safety and emergency preparedness equipment and training The scope includes preparation under dietitian supervision, strict hygiene and food safety compliance, staff deployment with security clearance, maintenance of kitchen and canteen premises, and adherence to DUHS dietary and operational standards. The contract duration is initially twelve months with possible extension. Bidders must have at least five years of relevant experience, valid NTN and Sindh Sales Tax registration, Sindh Food Authority license, and demonstrate financial capability with minimum average annual turnover of PKR 60 million. Bid submission is online via EPADS portal. Tender fee is Rs. 5,000 non-refundable. Bid security of Rs. 4,000,000 in form of Call Deposit, Bank Draft or Bank Guarantee is required. Technical proposals will be evaluated on mandatory criteria and scoring system; only technically qualified bidders will have financial proposals opened.
