Tender Description
The Hyderabad Electric Supply Company (HESCO) through its Project Management Unit (PMU) invites sealed bids for the procurement of a Battery Bank under tender number PMU-211/26-27. This procurement is planned for the financial year 2026-27 and aims to supply high-quality 110 Volt Battery Banks to support HESCO's power infrastructure in Hyderabad, Sindh. The procurement will be conducted via the e-Pak Acquisition and Disposal System (EPADS) v2.0 platform using a Single Stage One Envelope procedure with Least Cost Based Selection (LCBS) technique.
Items being procured:
- 110 Volt Battery Bank, Quantity: 13 units
The batteries must conform to Specification P-132:88 (UDC 621-355) for stationary lead-acid batteries, either Plante or pasted type, suitable for floating system service. The batteries shall be enclosed type lead-acid with a rated discharge capacity of 150 Ampere-hours at 10-hour rate and a nominal voltage of 110 volts. The technical specifications include detailed construction requirements for positive and negative plates, separators, containers, covers, vent plugs, terminal posts, and inter-cell connectors. The batteries must have a minimum service life of 15 years and comply with rigorous testing including discharge capacity, efficiency, self-discharge, float current, cycle test, and chemical composition tests. The procurement includes supply of batteries, wooden racks, accessories such as hydrometers, thermometers, voltmeters, anti-corrosive grease, and service manuals.
Eligible bidders include manufacturers, suppliers, or authorized dealers with valid registrations and experience in similar procurements. Joint ventures of up to three members are allowed. Bidders must submit bids through EPADS v2.0 by the deadline and provide bid security in the form of Pay Order, Banker's Cheque, Call Deposit, Bank Guarantee, or Demand Draft. The original bid security must be submitted physically to the PMU Office in Hyderabad before the closing time. Bids will be opened online on September 22, 2026, at 11:30 AM.
Bidders are advised to carefully review the detailed bidding documents available on EPADS and ensure compliance with all technical and eligibility criteria. The bid validity period is 120 days. The successful bidder will be required to furnish a performance guarantee of 10% of the contract price. Delivery is expected within 120 days from the contract commencement date.
