Tender Description
The Pakistan Water and Power Development Authority (WAPDA) is procuring advanced ultrasonic testing equipment to enhance its scientific and technical capabilities. The procurement includes a Portable Hand Held Ultrasonic Thickness Gauge and an Automated Ultrasonic Immersion Testing System. These devices are essential for precise measurement and quality control in various materials such as steel, aluminum, glass, and plastics.
The Portable Ultrasonic Thickness Gauge features a measurement range from 3 to 25 mm with high accuracy and automatic/manual gain settings. It includes interchangeable transducers and supports metric/mils measuring systems. The device is designed for continuous operation with a battery life of approximately 64 hours and comes with accessories like probes, cables, and protective covers. A one-year warranty and after-sales support for at least two years are provided.
The Automated Ultrasonic Immersion Testing System includes a UT Flaw Detector with multiple channels and compatible probes, an immersion tank with robotic arms for precise scanning along multiple axes, and a control PC with specialized software for data acquisition and analysis. The system requires commissioning and personnel training by the supplier. It also carries a one-year warranty with after-sales services for at least five years.
Eligible bidders should have relevant PEC categories and valid FBR/ATL registration, demonstrating experience in supplying and commissioning advanced scientific instruments. Earnest Money and CDR must be submitted as per tender requirements. The technical and financial bids should be prepared carefully, ensuring compliance with all specifications.
The submission deadline and address will be specified in the tender documents. Bidders are advised to review the technical specifications thoroughly and prepare their bids accordingly. A practical tip for bidders is to ensure that all calibration and warranty documentation is clearly included in the technical bid to avoid disqualification during evaluation.
