Tender Description
The Military Engineer Services (MES) invites applications for pre-qualification of contractors/firms for the financial year 2025-26 for various works at the National Defence University (NDU) Complex and Defence Complex Islamabad. This tender is specifically for the construction, specific repair, minor maintenance, provision, testing and commissioning (TC), and dismantling and commissioning (DC) of miscellaneous facilities of buildings at the NDU Complex and Defence Complex in the Area of Responsibility (AOR) of GE Maintenance / Project NDU Islamabad. There are 48 contracts available with a total estimated cost of Rs. 132.000 Million.
Items being procured:
- Construction / Specific / Repair / Minor / Maintenance / Provision / TC / DC of miscellaneous facilities of Buildings at NDU Complex & DCI in AOR of GE Maint/Project NDU Islamabad (48 contracts)
The contractor must be entitled with MES in categories 'A, B, C, D, E' and submit their applications for issuance of tender documents along with complete credentials by 01 Sep 2026. Tender documents will only be issued to firms with sufficient experience in the relevant field and who satisfy other special conditions required for the job and area. Tender issuance and opening dates are 01 Sep 2026 and 08 Sep 2026 respectively, with submission deadline at 1130 hours and opening at 1200 hours on 08 Sep 2026.
Firms not on the approved MES list must provide proof of being on the appropriate list of the concerned department, financial standing with bank certificate, staff details, tools and plants, and previous experience for the last two years duly attested by a Class-1 Gazetted Officer. Such firms must also deposit 2% earnest money as FDR or Deposit at Call pledged in the name of GE Maint/Proj NDU Islamabad. This amount is refundable if the contractor is not prequalified or does not secure the contract.
Details of work can be obtained from the office of the concerned executive on any working day. This tender requires careful preparation of credentials and earnest money submission to avoid disqualification.
