Prequalification for Establishment of Multipurpose Cargo Terminal on Build, Operate and Transfer (BOT) Basis at Port Qasim Karachi

Port Qasim Authority (PQA), Karachi, invites prequalification applications from interested national and international entities for the establishment of a Multipurpose Cargo Terminal on a Build, Operate and Transfer (BOT) basis. This strategic initiative aims to expand the capacity of Port Qasim, Pakistan's second largest deep-water seaport, to accommodate increased cargo throughput and specialized state-of-the-art facilities for break bulk and general cargo. Items being procured: - Preparation of economic and financial feasibility including demand forecasts and traffic projections - Design, construction, operation, and maintenance of the Multipurpose Cargo Terminal including reclamation, dredging, quay wall structures, and ancillary facilities - Procurement, installation, and integration of all cargo handling equipment and modern control systems - Transfer of the completed project to Port Qasim Authority The project scope covers comprehensive planning, design, and operational responsibilities to ensure efficient cargo handling and terminal management. Eligible applicants include single entities or consortiums capable of meeting the Public Procurement Rules requirements.
