Procurement of 15 kV XLPE Power Cable 240mm2 500MCM Single Core (Unarmoured)

The Islamabad Electric Supply Company (IESCO) Material Management department invites sealed bids through the e-Pak Acquisition and Disposal System (EPADS) v2.0 for the procurement of 15 kV XLPE Power Cable 240mm2 500MCM Single Core (Unarmoured) under tender reference P74449. This procurement is planned for the financial year 2026-27 and aims to supply high quality power cables conforming to NTDC Specifications P-29:2010 (amended to date). The procurement is divided into two lots, each requiring 600 Km of the specified cable, to be delivered to the IESCO Regional Store in Islamabad. Items being procured: - 15 kV XLPE Power Cable 240mm2 500MCM Single Core (Unarmoured) Lot-I, Quantity: 600 Km - 15 kV XLPE Power Cable 240mm2 500MCM Single Core (Unarmoured) Lot-II, Quantity: 600 Km The technical scope includes supply of cables manufactured as per the latest technical specifications and drawings, with factory acceptance tests and type tests as per the NTDC and IESCO requirements. Bidders must provide valid type test reports or arrange fresh type testing at approved laboratories if required. The cables must be suitable for operation under specified ambient conditions including temperature, humidity, and altitude. Eligibility criteria require bidders to be registered firms with sound financial capacity, manufacturing experience, and proven contractual performance. Joint ventures are allowed with up to two members. Bid security in the form of call deposit or bank guarantee is mandatory. Bidders must submit bids in English language through EPADS v2.0 by the deadline. Key dates include bid submission by Tuesday, September 8, 2026 at 10:30 AM, with bid opening on the same day at 11:00 AM via EPADS. Manual bids will not be accepted. The contract will be awarded based on Least Cost Based Selection (LCBS) technique. Bids must be accompanied by bid security and all required documents including power of attorney, manufacturer authorization, and declarations. Performance guarantee of 5% of contract price will be required upon award. Payment will be made in Pakistani Rupees against delivery and acceptance of goods.
