Procurement of Equipment for Up-gradation of 16 Existing Weather Stations of GMRC in Upper Indus Basin

The Water and Power Development Authority (WAPDA) invites sealed bids for the procurement of supply, installation, testing, and commissioning of equipment for the up-gradation of 16 existing weather stations of the Glacier Monitoring Research Centre (GMRC) in the Upper Indus Basin under the Dam Safety Component of the approved PC-I of T-5 Hydropower Project. This procurement is part of the T5 Hydropower Project financed jointly by the World Bank and WAPDA. Items being procured: - Equipment for up-gradation of 16 existing weather stations of GMRC in Upper Indus Basin The contract includes supply, installation, testing, and commissioning of the specified equipment. The contract duration is 365 days. Eligible bidders must have valid registration with Pakistan Engineering Council in C6 Category or above with specialization in EE-04 (Telecommunication) or EE-06 (Instrumentation & Control/Electronics). Bidders must also be registered with Income Tax and Sales Tax Departments and be on the Active Taxpayers List (ATL) of the Federal Board of Revenue. Bidding will be conducted through National Competitive Bidding (NCB) procedures as per World Bank guidelines. Bidding documents are available at the office of the General Manager (HRM), WAPDA House, Lahore, during office hours (0900 to 1600). A non-refundable fee of Rs. 2500/- is required for bidding documents, payable via Cash Deposit, Pay Order, or Demand Draft in favor of General Manager (HRM), WAPDA House, Lahore. Late bids will be rejected. Bids will be publicly opened on the same day at 11:30 hours in the presence of bidders' representatives. A bid security of Rs 8,000,000/- in the form of an Unconditional Bank Guarantee or Call Deposit Receipt (CDR) from a scheduled bank in Pakistan is mandatory.
