Tender Description

The Multan Electric Power Company (MEPCO) invites bids for the procurement and turnkey installation of 16 Nos 11 KV, 630 KVA Pad Mounted Transformers (PMT) along with allied works at Brands Road, Multan. This project involves the complete supply, installation, testing, and commissioning of transformers and associated electrical equipment including HT/LT cables, termination kits, earthing systems, and civil works such as trenching, RCC plinth construction, and road restoration as per WAPDA and MEPCO standards. The scope includes route survey, excavation, sand bedding, cable laying, jointing, termination, installation of transformers, earthing, backfilling, compaction, and debris removal. All materials must be approved by MEPCO nominated inspectors before installation. The contractor must ensure safety measures including barricading and warning signs during execution. Eligible bidders must have valid PEC registration in relevant categories (C-4, CE-10, EE-04, EE-05), active FBR NTN and sales tax registration with last 3 years income tax returns, and experience of at least two similar EPC turnkey projects in the last 5 years. Average annual turnover for the last three years should be at least twice the project cost. Affidavit of non-blacklisting and power of attorney (if applicable) are required. Bidding documents are available on EPADS and bids must be submitted electronically on EPADS by 11 May 2026 at 10:30 AM. Technical bids will be opened the same day at 11:00 AM. Manual bids will not be accepted. Bid security of PKR 3,500,000 in the form of Deposit-at-Call, Bank Draft, Pay Order or Bid Guarantee from a scheduled bank in favor of CEO MEPCO Multan must be submitted in original before bid submission deadline. The contract period is 120 days from the date of work order issuance. The contractor is advised to carefully review all bidding documents and ensure compliance with all technical and financial requirements.
