Tender Description
The Regional Directorate of Food Karachi Region invites bids from manufacturers and suppliers for the supply of Polypropylene Bags for the year 2026-2027 under the Sindh Public Procurement Rules 2010 (Amended 2013). The procurement will be conducted through the Sindh E-Pak Acquisition & Disposal System (EPADS) using a Single Stage Two Envelope Procedure as per Rule 46 (2) of SPP Rules, 2010 (Amended).
Items being procured:
- Tubular Woven P.P. Bags manufactured from prime virgin material with hemmed bottom and heat cut mouth ends
- Size: Outside Width 59 cm (23") Β± 1.5 cm / 0.5" Outside length 100 cm (39") Β± 1.5 cm / 0.5"
- Tape: Denier, 1000 material UV stabilized polypropylene or UV stabilized mixed polypropylene
- Weave: 11 tape X 11 tape per inch
- Weight: 115 grams Β± 5% Capacity: 50 kg for wheat grains
- Colour: Transparent
- Bottom Seam folded once at sewn with width 2.54 cm (1 inch)
- Stitching: Acid resistant thread of Nylon or polypropylene of 1000 denier with chain stitch and at least 4 stitches per inch
- Drop Strength: withstand at least 4 drops from height of 16 feet flat side dropped flat
- Printing: Design as approved printed on one side in single colour
- Printing Ink: Non fading waterproof ink
- Packing: 1000 bags in one bale wrapped in new polypropylene woven fabric
- UV Stabilizer: 0.35%
- Tentative Quantity: 6120 Bales (50 Kg each, 1000 bags in each bale)
The delivery schedule requires 50% quantity within 15 days of contract award and the remaining 50% in the next 15 days. Bidders must submit bid security of Rs 10,000,000 and tender fee of Rs 5,000 separately in the form of Call Deposit or Pay Order. Bids must be submitted electronically via the EPADS portal by 28-09-2026 at 12:00 PM, with technical bids opening at 12:30 PM the same day. The successful bidder must provide samples, have at least five years of experience, and submit three years of sales tax returns with technical proposals. The contract will be governed by SPPRA Rules 2010 (Amended).
