Tender Description

The National Institutes of Health (NIH) Islamabad invites sealed bids for the provision and installation of a Ducted Gross Station (Pathology Workstation) for the Histopathology Lab, PHLD at NIH Islamabad. This procurement is for a bench-mounted ducted gross station with specifications including a transparent tempered glass/acrylic front shield for splash protection, dimensions of 1000mm (W) x 750mm (D) x 1950mm (H) with base cabinet, and a work surface height of 850mm. The construction requires 304 stainless steel with chemical-resistant epoxy powder coating and chemical-resistant inner lining. The workstation includes built-in fan, UV lamp, LED lighting, telescopic faucet, activated carbon filter, hot and cold taps, transparent socket, sink, and side countertop flushing part. Items being procured: - Provision and installation of Ducted Gross Station (Pathology Workstation) with exhaust airflow approx. 800-1000m3/h fully ducted to exterior - Built-in centrifugal blower with speed control - PVC/FRP exhaust ducting with minimum diameter 250mm, routed to discharge point at least 3 meters above roof level - Digital airflow monitor with audible/visual alarm - Power requirements AC220V±10%, 50/60Hz; 110V±10%, 60Hz The contractor is responsible for supply, installation, testing, commissioning, and operationalization of the system at NIH Islamabad. The system must comply with EN 14175 and ASHRAE 110 standards. The contractor must provide IQ/OQ/PQ documentation and must be accredited for histopathology processing and chemicals. A detailed site visit is required before quoting. The contract includes a 5-year warranty and 5 years of maintenance services. The completion period is 30 days from the work order issuance. Eligibility requires PEC Category C6 or above with specialization ME06, FBR registration, authorized distributor status, and proven track record of at least 5 similar installations in Pakistan. Earnest money of Rs. 80,000 and 10% performance security are required. Bids must be submitted online via EPADS v2.0 by October 22, 2026, 11:00 AM. Manual bids will not be accepted. Technical bids will be opened first, followed by financial bids of technically qualified bidders. Bidders should ensure compliance with all technical specifications and submit all required documents. Late or incomplete bids will be rejected. The procuring agency reserves the right to accept or reject any bid without assigning reason. Bidders are advised to carefully review the site and specifications before bidding. A practical tip: Register early on EPADS v2.0 and ensure all bid security documents are submitted in original to avoid disqualification.
