Tender Description
Town Municipal Corporation Ibrahim Hyderi, District Malir, Karachi invites bids for the provision and laying of sewerage and water supply lines along with repair and maintenance works at multiple locations within its jurisdiction. This procurement covers a range of civil works including sewerage line installation from Al-Qadri Mohalla to Khatti Mohalla, repair and maintenance of drain nallas, laying water supply lines from Social Security Hospital Road to various localities, and installation of centrifugal and booster pumps with electrical accessories at water supply schemes. The works also include painting on kerb blocks at Mehran Highway and other areas, construction of manholes and inspection chambers, and supply of RCC ring slabs and manhole covers. Items being procured:
- Providing and laying sewerage line from Al-Qadri Mohalla to Khatti Mohalla
- Repair and maintenance of drain nalla at Dar-ul-Uloom Subhaniya
- Providing and laying water supply lines at multiple locations including Muzafarabad, Chashma, and Bakhtawar Goth
- Installation of centrifugal motor with coupled pump and booster motor with electrical accessories
- Painting on kerb blocks from Hospital Chowrangi to PSO Pump and other specified routes
- Construction of manholes and inspection chambers with RCC components
The technical scope involves excavation, laying of RCC pipes with rubber ring joints, refilling and compaction, fabrication and installation of manhole components, and electrical installation works. The site is located in various union councils of Ibrahim Hyderi Town, Karachi. Eligible bidders must have valid PEC registration in relevant categories, NTN, Sindh Revenue Board registration, professional tax certificate, and a minimum of five years relevant experience with a turnover of 2 to 4 million PKR over the last three years. Firms must also provide an affidavit confirming no blacklisting and no litigation or delays in government contracts. Earnest money of 5% of the bid amount is required with a bid validity of 90 days. The contract period is 90 days from the date of commencement. Bids must be submitted by 14th September 2026 at 2:00 PM to the office of the Superintending Engineer, TMC Ibrahim Hyderi, Karachi, where bids will be opened at 3:00 PM the same day.
A practical tip for bidders is to ensure all eligibility documents including PEC registration, tax certificates, and experience certificates are complete and up to date to avoid disqualification during the preliminary evaluation. Also, carefully review the bill of quantities and schedule rates as the contract is fixed price and no rate escalation will be entertained.
