Tender Description
The Larkana Institute of Nuclear Medicine and Radiotherapy (LINAR) in Larkana is procuring anti cancer medicines and drugs for a period of two years covering the financial years 2026-27 and 2027-28. This procurement is specifically for the supply of a comprehensive list of oncology medicines including tablets, capsules, and injections such as Abiraterone, Atezolizumab, Bevacizumab, Cisplatin, Erlotinib, Gemcitabine, Imatinib, Rituximab, and many others as detailed in the tender documents.
The medicines must be supplied within seven days of the receipt of the supply order and must comply with the specifications and quality standards set by LINAR. Suppliers are required to submit a single stage two envelope bid, with technical and financial bids weighted 70% and 30% respectively. A 1% earnest money deposit in the form of a security deposit is mandatory. Only medicines with a minimum of 70% shelf life remaining will be accepted, and suppliers must provide an undertaking for replacement of near expiry stock.
Eligible bidders should be registered with the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) and on the Active Taxpayers List (ATL). They must also submit authorized distributorship certificates from pharmaceutical companies. Experience in supplying substantial quantities to major hospitals such as Agha Khan University Hospital and Liaqat National Hospital will be advantageous. Technical bids will be evaluated on criteria including product registration with recognized authorities, country of manufacture, bio-equivalence certificates, cold chain maintenance, marketing proof, and past performance.
The submission deadline is **30th June 2024** at 23:59:59. Bids must be submitted in English and in the prescribed format. The tender emphasizes strict compliance with technical specifications and timely delivery. A practical tip for bidders is to ensure all documentation, especially the technical bid, is complete and strictly follows the format to avoid rejection. Maintaining the cold chain during supply is critical to avoid disqualification.
This tender offers a significant opportunity for pharmaceutical suppliers to engage with a reputable government institute in Sindh, contributing to cancer treatment efforts in the region.
