Tender Description
The Health Department Sindh is procuring a comprehensive range of drugs and medicines for Ghulam Muhammad Mahar Medical College Teaching Hospital located in Sukkur. This procurement covers the financial year 2026-27 and includes a variety of pharmaceutical products such as antibiotics, analgesics, vitamins, injections, tablets, syrups, and surgical consumables. The tender specifically mentions local purchase on a daily emergency basis and also includes items funded by Zakat and Baitul Mal. The scope involves supplying medicines, surgical and disposable items, orthopedic implants, and other related pharmaceutical products to the hospital's main medical store and ensuring timely delivery to the in-charge.
Suppliers must have facilities for temperature-controlled storage including refrigerators and air conditioners, standby generators, and a valid drug license for retail. The vendor is responsible for signing a contract with the hospital and must ensure availability and supply during emergencies, including Sundays and holidays. The approved chemist or drug dealer is required to maintain a supply store and remain on call. The delivery schedule requires items to be delivered by 10:00 AM the next working day after requisition by noon. Penalties apply for failure to supply during emergencies or breach of contract.
Interested bidders should be registered with FBR and ATL, and must comply with the Drug Act 1976 and related rules. The tender requires earnest money in the form of pay orders and bid security. The submission deadline is the end of the financial year on 30th June 2027. Bidders are advised to carefully prepare their technical and financial bids, ensuring all documents and CDRs are complete and submitted on time. One practical tip for bidders is to ensure their storage and supply chain capabilities meet the hospital's emergency and daily supply requirements to avoid disqualification or penalties.
