Purchase/Import of Liquid Nitrogen Dewar for Dr. Panjwani Center for Molecular Medicine and Drug Research

The Dr. Panjwani Center for Molecular Medicine and Drug Research at the International Center for Chemical and Biological Sciences, University of Karachi, Karachi, invites bids for the purchase/import of a Liquid Nitrogen Dewar. This procurement is aimed at enhancing the center's capacity for molecular medicine research by acquiring a high-quality liquid nitrogen storage vessel. Items being procured: - Liquid Nitrogen Dewar (Vacuumed Vessel) (Quantity = 01) The Dewar must have a minimum capacity of 240 Liters, equipped with outboard wheels and handle for easy maneuverability, constructed from high strength stainless steel (minimum 304 Grade) with vacuumed insulation (high vacuum: 10^-3 mbar to 10^-5 mbar). It must comply with DOT 4L requirements, have a normal evaporation rate of ≤ 2% per day, guarantee of at least two years, capability for pressurized dispensing, suitable for low pressure liquid nitrogen transfer (22 psig / 1.5 bar), automatic and manual pressure relief valves, differential pressure-type liquid level gauge, decanting hose (12 ft., ½ inch male and female seat type), standard vent fitting to avoid overfilling, and an adjustable regulator to maintain required low pressure. Bidders must be registered with tax authorities, have a minimum annual turnover at least equal to the bid amount for the last three years, and possess at least three years of relevant experience. Bid security of 2% of the bid value is required, with a bid validity period of 90 days. Performance security of 5% of the purchase order value will be required from the successful bidder.
