Tender Description
The Islamabad Electric Supply Company (IESCO) invites sealed bids for the reconductioning and remodeling of a 132 kV transmission line spanning 22.783 km from Burhan to Kamra. This project is included in the Multi Year Tariff for the financial year 2026-27 and has an estimated cost of Rs. 83,734,267 including PST. The procurement is for civil works involving construction and remodeling of transmission line infrastructure in Islamabad Capital Territory.
Items being procured:
- Providing and casting in situ bored RCC piles in cement concrete
- Supplying and fabrication of intermediate grade deformed reinforcement for RCC piles
- Reinforced cement concrete work using coarse sand
- Fixing in position of foundation bolts
- Tower type ZM-1, ZM-30, Landative-60, EA, and ED foundations and footings
- Basic bodies and leg extensions for various tower types
- Stringing and sagging of conductors including AAAC Greely and ACSR Lynx
- De-stringing and re-stringing of conductors
- Dismantling of existing towers and conductors
- Environmental monitoring including water, air, noise, and wastewater quality
- Environmental and social mitigation measures
- Site restoration
The scope includes construction of tower foundations, RCC pile foundations of poles, erection of towers and steel tubular poles, stringing of conductors and shield wires, installation of insulators, fittings and dampers, dismantling of existing lines, and implementation of environmental management and monitoring plans.
Eligible bidders must have PEC registration category C-4 with specialization codes CE-02, CE-10, EE-05, valid FBR registration, and demonstrate at least 10 years of experience in construction of 132 kV or higher voltage transmission lines. Joint ventures are allowed with up to two members. Bidders must provide evidence of financial capacity, past experience, and technical staff as per the bidding documents.
Bids must be submitted electronically through the EPADS v2.0 portal by 15 September 2026 at 11:00 AM. Manual submissions will not be accepted. Bid security in the form of Call Deposit, Bank Guarantee, or Demand Draft must be submitted in original to the IESCO Head Office before the bid opening. Technical bids will be evaluated on a least cost basis.
