Rehabilitation / Re-Construction of Internal Streets at Different Wards in UC-13 Lyari, District South, Karachi

The Karachi Metropolitan Corporation (KMC) Engineering Department invites bids for the Rehabilitation and Re-Construction of Internal Streets at Different Wards in UC-13 Lyari, District South, Karachi. This tender is issued under the Single Stage One Envelope procedure and funded through KMC's own funds. The project involves comprehensive civil works including dismantling of existing cement concrete, earth excavation, cartage of materials, cement concrete plain work, and providing & fixing cement paving blocks flooring. Items being procured: - Dismantling of cement concrete 1:2:4 work - Earth excavation and cartage of materials - Cement concrete plain including placing, compacting, finishing, and curing - Providing & fixing cement paving blocks flooring - Repair of leakages in RCC and MS pipelines - Raising of existing sewerage manholes/service chambers - Excavation for pipeline in trenches and pits - Providing and laying aggregate base course - Pumping and dewatering works - Laying and fixing of RCC pipes, PE pipes, and PVC pipes with fittings - Construction of manholes and inspection chambers - Cleaning inside sewerage lines - Manufacturing and supplying of RCC manhole covers The technical scope requires adherence to specified standards for materials and workmanship, including compliance with PEC registration and relevant FBR/ATL tax registrations. Bidders must have experience in similar works, possess required machinery and equipment, and provide qualified engineering and technical staff. Earnest money of 5% of the estimated cost is required in the form of Pay Order/CDR/Bank Guarantee. Bids must be submitted electronically via the SPPRA e-Procurement System (EPADS) by 03-09-2026 at 11:00 AM, with bid opening on the same day at 11:30 AM. The bid validity period is 90 days. Performance security of 5% of the accepted contract amount is required. The contract duration is 10 months with a penalty of Rs. 3000 per day for delay. Joint ventures are not allowed.
