Tender Description
Improvement and rehabilitation works for Rashid Minhas Road in Karachi are being procured by the Karachi Metropolitan Corporation, Engineering Department. This project covers the stretch from Drigh Road (Shahrah-e-Faisal) to Shahrah-e-Usman 4-K Chowrangi via Nagan Chowrangi, under ADP #1942/2025-26. The scope includes dismantling existing asphalt and concrete pavements, earth excavation, scarifying road surfaces, laying aggregate base courses, priming, and asphalt concrete wearing courses. Additionally, the project involves construction of cement paving blocks, repair of sewerage and water pipelines, raising manholes, and relocation of pedestrian bridges. The estimated cost is PKR 1.128 billion with a completion period of 6 months.
The project demands high-quality materials such as 3750 PSI precast edge blocks, 5000-8500 PSI cement paving blocks, and asphalt concrete mixed as per approved job mix formulae.
