Tender Description
The Pakistan Airports Authority (PAA) invites sealed bids for the rehabilitation and uplifting of the Ex-Airhostess Hostel Block-B located in PIA Township, Jinnah International Airport, Karachi. This project aims to convert the existing hostel into married officers quarters, enhancing the residential facilities at JIAP. The scope of work includes civil, water supply, sanitary, and electrical/mechanical works as detailed in the bidding documents.
Items being procured:
- Civil works including demolition, masonry, plastering, flooring with granite and tiles, RCC works, steel reinforcement, door/window works, painting, and finishing
- Water supply and sanitary installations including W.C. pans, basins, mixers, PPRC pipes, PVC pipes, water tanks, valves, and sanitary fittings
- Electrical and mechanical works including supply and laying of cables, wiring, switch sockets, fans, lighting fixtures, DB panels, floodlights, and installation of parking shed tensile fabric
The technical scope covers comprehensive rehabilitation including structural repairs, finishing, plumbing, electrical installations, and external works. Materials and workmanship must comply with approved specifications and standards. The contractor must ensure site safety, security clearance for workers, and coordination with airport operations.
Eligibility criteria include valid PEC registration in category C-4, FBR registration, no blacklisting, and relevant experience. Bidders must submit bids electronically via EPADS v2.0 and provide original bid security in the form of a pay order. The bid validity period is 180 days.
Key dates: Bids must be submitted by 30th September 2026 at 11:00 AM via EPADS. Technical bids will be opened the same day at 11:30 AM. Manual bids are not accepted. The contract duration is 365 days from commencement.
