Annual Contract for Repair & Maintenance of Street Lights of Various Roads of Karachi Metropolitan Corporation in District Malir

Karachi Metropolitan Corporation (KMC) Engineering Department invites bids for the Annual Contract for Repair & Maintenance of street lights on various roads in District Malir, Karachi. This contract covers comprehensive maintenance and repair works including electrical wiring, replacement of poles, flood lights, LED street lights, and associated civil works. Items being procured: - Providing & laying PVC insulated copper conductor cables of various sizes - Providing & fixing MS tubular poles of 31ft and 40ft with base plates and stiffeners - Construction of RCC foundations for poles - Manufacturing and fixing GI single arm and double arm brackets - Providing & fixing flood lights of 250W, 400W (SON and LED), LED street lights of various wattages - Installation of circuit breakers, magnetic contractors, photo cells - Earthing sets with excavation and salt mixing - Dismantling of old street light fittings, brackets, and poles - Painting of street light poles with two coats of oil paint - Providing and fixing LED down lights, tunnel lights, RGB flood lights, LED strip lights, and solar street lights - Fabrication work to reduce pole heights - Construction of RCC foundation New Jersey barrier type - Other associated electrical and civil works as per specifications The scope includes supply, installation, testing, and commissioning of all materials and equipment as per the technical specifications and instructions of the Engineer Incharge. Bidders must be registered with PEC in category C-6 or EE-06 and above, hold valid NTN and Sindh Revenue Board registration, possess a valid Electric Contractor License from the Electrical Inspector Government of Sindh (Karachi Region), and have a PEC registered engineer on staff. Experience of similar works executed in the last five years is mandatory with proof of work orders and completion certificates. Financial soundness is required with a minimum annual turnover not less than the estimated cost. The estimated cost of the contract is bold PKR 20,000,000 with a bid security of 5% of the estimated cost. Tender cost is PKR 5,000. Bids must be submitted in a sealed envelope to the Office of Superintending Engineer (E&M), 512 J.M New M.A. Jinnah Road, Gurumandir, Karachi by 02 October 2026 at 2:00 PM. The bid opening will be held on the same day at 2:30 PM at the same venue. Earnest money in the form of bid security must accompany the bid. The contract includes a performance security of 5% of the estimated cost. Liquidity damages of PKR 3,000 per day will be imposed for delay in completion.
