Tender Description
The Pakistan Navy, through its Attaché Defence Procurement office in London, is inviting quotations for the supply of Rope Sisal Hawserlaid of various specifications. This procurement is specifically for the Pakistan Navy and the delivery is to be made FOB UK Seaport. The items include 3-strand ropes of 12MM and 8MM diameter, as well as rotproofed 3-strand ropes with a minimum break load of 9.86 KN. The ropes must comply with ISO 1181-2004 and ISO 9554 standards, be factory new, fully serviceable, and OEM certified. Each coil length is 120 fathoms, and ROT proofing is mandatory as per ISO standards. Valid LLOYD’s DNV/BS1 certificates from an IACS member society are required to confirm batch identification and breaking strength.
Bidders must be registered with FBR and ATL, and should ideally have experience supplying to defense or government entities. The tender requires submission of a sealed envelope clearly marked Tender Inside, with separate offers for each item to avoid confusion. Offers must include OEM conformity certificates, test certificates, and export licenses if applicable. The tender opening is scheduled for 15th May 2026 at 1230 hours, with bid submission deadline at 1130 hours the same day. The submission address is the Attaché Defence Procurement office at the Pakistan High Commission, London.
Earnest Money in the form of a Performance Bank Guarantee between 5% to 10% of the offer value is required, valid for 60 days beyond delivery. Payment terms are 90% on shipment and 10% after receipt and inspection. A practical tip for bidders is to ensure all documentation, including OEM authorization and export licenses, are complete and clearly stated in the offer to avoid disqualification. Late or incomplete bids will be rejected. This tender offers a valuable opportunity for suppliers with expertise in maritime ropes and defense procurement to engage with the Pakistan Navy through a transparent and well-structured process.
