Shifting of Power Transformers for Replacement of Damaged 10/13 MVA Power Transformer (T-2) at 132KV Grid Station Chaint under IESCO System Constraints

The Islamabad Electric Supply Company (IESCO) through its Project Management Unit (PMU) invites bids for the shifting of power transformers for replacement of a damaged 10/13 MVA Power Transformer (T-2) at 132KV Grid Station Chaint under IESCO system constraints. This procurement is planned for the financial year 2026-27 with an estimated cost of Rs. 2.7 Million inclusive of GST and all other taxes. The scope includes loading, unloading, and transportation of 132/11KV 10/13 MVA Power Transformers from 132KV Grid Station E-8 Islamabad to 132KV Grid Station Chaint and shifting the damaged transformer from Chaint to 132KV Zeropoint Grid Station for repair. The approximate distance covered is 165 kilometers and the weight of each transformer with accessories is about 60 tons. Items being procured: - Shifting including loading/unloading of 132/11KV 10/13 MVA Power Transformer from 132KV Grid Station E-8 Islamabad - Replacement of damaged 10/13 MVA Power Transformer (T-2) at 132KV Grid Station Chaint - Shifting including loading/unloading of damaged 132/11KV 10/13 MVA Power Transformer from 132KV Grid Station Chaint to 132KV Zeropoint Grid Station for repair - Insurance coverage for 2 No. 10/13 MVA Power Transformers The technical scope requires the transport company to have in-house or attached heavy-duty trailers, cranes, and trained personnel for safe loading and unloading at both grid stations. Insurance coverage must be provided for 100% of the cost of the transformers in the name of the procuring agency. Bidders must be registered with FBR and have experience in inter-provincial shifting of goods for at least two years. A bid security of Rs. 111,392/- is required in favor of Chief Engineer (Development) IESCO Islamabad. The contract will be awarded through Least Cost Based Selection (LCBS) using Single Stage One Envelope procedure via the EPADS v2.0 e-procurement portal. Bids must be submitted online on or before Tuesday, October 27, 2026 at 11:00 AM and will be opened the same day at 11:30 AM. Manual bids will not be entertained. The performance guarantee required is 10% of the contract price in the form of a bank guarantee from a scheduled bank.
