Tender Description
This tender invites qualified contractors in Karachi to supply and install a comprehensive solar power system for multiple government offices under the Energy Department of Government of Sindh. The project involves the procurement of high-efficiency solar panels, inverters, batteries, and related electrical components designed to optimize energy generation and reduce dependency on conventional power sources.
The installation sites are located across Karachi, requiring careful planning to address urban infrastructure challenges and ensure seamless integration with existing electrical grids. Contractors must demonstrate expertise in solar technology, electrical wiring, and compliance with local safety standards. The scope includes site surveys, system design, installation, testing, and commissioning.
Bidders should hold a valid PEC Category C-4 or above license and be registered with the FBR with an active ATL status for the fiscal year 2025-26. It is advisable to prepare the Earnest Money in the form of a Call Deposit Receipt (CDR) as per tender requirements. Technical and financial bids must be submitted separately to comply with the tender evaluation process.
The submission deadline is set for the 15th of June 2024, with bid opening scheduled at 10:00 AM on the same day. All bids must be delivered in sealed envelopes to the Energy Department office located at Government Secretariat, Karachi. Late submissions will not be entertained.
Pro-Tip: Make sure to verify the exact stamp duty requirements mentioned in the newspaper advertisement, as these are often overlooked and can lead to disqualification. Also, double-check the technical specifications to avoid common pitfalls related to warranty and after-sales service clauses.
