Tender Description
This tender invites qualified contractors in Karachi to supply and install a comprehensive solar power system for multiple government offices under the Energy Department of Government of Sindh. The project involves the procurement of high-efficiency solar panels, inverters, batteries, and related electrical components designed to reduce dependency on conventional power sources and enhance energy sustainability.
The installation sites are located across Karachi, requiring careful planning to address urban infrastructure challenges and ensure optimal solar exposure. Contractors must demonstrate expertise in electrical engineering and solar technology integration, ensuring compliance with local safety standards and environmental regulations. The scope includes site preparation, mounting structures, wiring, testing, and commissioning of the solar systems.
Bidders should hold a valid PEC license in the relevant category and be registered with the FBR with an active ATL status for the fiscal year 2025-26. It is advisable to prepare the Call Deposit Receipt (CDR) as Earnest Money according to the tender specifications. Technical and financial bids must be submitted separately, adhering strictly to the tender documents.
The submission deadline is set for 30th June 2024 at 23:59:59, with bid opening scheduled on the following day at 10:00 AM. All bids must be delivered in sealed envelopes to the Energy Department office located at Government Secretariat, Karachi. Late submissions will not be entertained.
Pro-Tip: Ensure to verify the exact stamp duty requirements mentioned in the newspaper advertisement, as these are frequently overlooked and can lead to disqualification. Also, double-check the technical specifications section to avoid common pitfalls related to solar panel certifications and warranty terms.
