Tender Description
This tender invites qualified contractors in Multan for special repair and renovation works at MEPCO Complex and its sub divisions. Issued by Multan Electric Power Company (MEPCO), it covers civil repair and maintenance of office buildings and quarters, including a double storey SDO office and triple storey S.E office at 132 KV Grid Station Khanewal. The scope involves structural repairs, finishing works, and upkeep of MEPCO facilities located in Multan and nearby areas, requiring expertise in civil construction and renovation.
The works demand use of quality construction materials suitable for institutional buildings, with attention to structural integrity and compliance with local building codes. The site locations in Multan and Rahim Yar Khan present logistical challenges, including coordination with ongoing power operations and ensuring minimal disruption. Contractors must be prepared for detailed engineering assessments and timely execution within stipulated periods.
Bidders must hold valid Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC) registration under category CE-10, maintain active registration with Punjab Revenue Authority (PRA), and possess current Income Tax registration with FBR. Compliance with FBR's Active Taxpayer List (ATL) for the fiscal year 2025-26 is mandatory. Tenderers should ensure Earnest Money in the form of Deposit-at-Call, Bank Draft, or Pay Order is submitted as per tender requirements to avoid disqualification.
The submission deadline is on the 2nd of February 2026, with bid opening scheduled at 14:30 hours on the same day at the office of the Superintending Engineer (Civil), MEPCO Headquarters, Khanewal Road, Multan. Bids must be submitted electronically via EPADS portal; manual submissions will not be accepted. Original bid security must be delivered physically before the deadline.
Pro-Tip: Carefully review the newspaper advertisement for specific stamp duty and bid security instructions, as these are often overlooked and can lead to bid rejection. Ensure all documents are complete and submitted timely on EPADS to avoid disqualification.
